Words hurt. Thats bullying. Be ashamed. Be very ashamed. In some states, you would be prosecuted for bullying. Its a crime and it needs to stop no matter man or equine, real or fake.

I've seen a lot of these things as of late for the Save Derpy movement, so of course it's not totally original but that doesn't mean it's not as beautiful as many of the others I have seen, and of course Derpy with a bag over her head is pretty original since most don't cover her up in any way.

Also, wonderful job making her look as if she just walked out of the show, and the words in the background looking the same. Even the fact that you can't read some of the words because they go off screen is kind of neat.

The only part I don't like is the repetition of the words and that it looks very cluttered with so many words in the background. I think maybe half as many words and using synonyms of various words might have been better, but still this is wonderful in its own way and I can tell you tried very hard to make this as impactful as possible to help draw attention to the issue at hand.

This is a good take on the whole Derpy fiasco. The words depicted here are only a few that were thrown around by those who shunned Derpy's appearance in the show. It does put into perspective the hateful comments that were used against the fictional character. While she is fictional, it is still an example of the growing problem with bullying in our society, and how anonymity of the internet makes it so easy to do so.

The image of Derpy herself is rather plain, however. I can't tell if it is a vector from the show or your own art, but nevertheless, it is a bit boring. The bump on the paper bag is a little odd as well, as if the bag was made that way, not by something inside is pushing outward (her nose). The word "Unmannerly" is a nice touch, though, it being crooked amongst the other level words.

A little editing of the bag bump and perhaps a background could do this image good. Perhaps a different font for the words. (Please, for heavens sake, don't use Comic Sans.)

Sure as the sun rises words hurt more then one thinks. :(
I have dissabilitys and was thrilled to se a character like Derpy in the show. then I saw the remake and I was devastated. For a show that tries to teach kids friendship, tolerance and open minds this was a hard blow. The show is basicly telling kids that you are NEVER alowed to be different. You must be like every one else or you should disapper. I am mentaly disabled and I loves Derpy for the who she is. I'm not offended by her, I am offended that people just can't accept that there isn't ONE mold for people in this world. We should be able to be different and do things in our own way without scorn, censoring or being "taken care of". Just because we learn things a little different from others and can't read expressions the same way others can or we make more misstakes then others around us, does that makes our intire existens a mistake? This actully killed some of my love for the show and thats a tragedy in itself, how can a suport a show that excludes characters who are different from other and stands out?

O and for those who don't know the word "derp" are a fictional word to describe a silly mistake or situation. It's never been used for bullying. The ones who uses that word for that purpose are heartless idiots.
I've got a tip for all you guys who can't stand that someone is different from YOU, go find something that says being different is good. Amovie or a book, just one that stars a person like that. There is barly anything if it even exists.

I honestly feel like Hasbro just missed a great opportunity. Instead of complying with the people who declared Derpy offensive, Hasbro should have turned their argument against them by making an episode focused on Derpy's "disability" and how someone (most likely Rainbow Dash considering how frustrated she was) has to learn to accept Derpy for who she is. You know, give a lesson about seeing beyond the disability and knowing the person behind it, similar to how Bridle Gossip focused on knowing the person rather than make assumptions based off appearance.

Lately, I've been thinking of changing my signature. The problem though is that I can't come up with anything good. I was thinking maybe something inspirational, or something funny, or a quote I heard on t.v. There's also the small character limit to con

That stupid horse thingy looks rather retarded.

That, my friend, was an attention getter, not to be inflammatory.

Have you ever thought that perhaps your image is offensive to me? Ah, there we are, at a stalemate. But, it does not need to be that way. While it is fine and dandy that you want to preach the "let's use kinds words in lieu of hateful words," there are times where the sender transmits a harmless message that is taken the wrong way by the recipient. Is the sender still at fault?

We each have the power to stop letting ourselves be victims. We can turn the page when a book or magazine has offensive material. We can change the channel on the television. We can tune the radio to another station. We can navigate our browser to another page or close the browser. We can turn off these devices. We can walk away from a conversation that has turned south.

I have to wonder nobody ever heeds the old adage, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me." There are too many real issues to be worried about to be butthurt over someone calling me some stupid name they made up.

Let me explain to you how this works: you see, the corporations finance America, and then America goes out... and the corporations sit there in their... in their corporation buildings, and... and, and see, they're all corporation-y... and they make money.

the picture was good and the message was good.

but your description is nonsense. derpy is a fictional character, please don't compare this debacle to actual bullying in real life, the subject of which has lead many people to suicide.

I would appreciate it if you altered you description, because I find it rather insensitive towards myself and other people.

They had this great speech about anti-bullying in Zettai Hero Project: Unlosing Ranger VS Darkdeath Evilman (if you hadn't heard of this game, shame on you!) and I fealt it very moving, as I was constuntly bullied until I got into high school, and Mizore Shirayuki (my waifu :iconmizoreshirayukiplz: ) is a character that also faced what I consider bullying. I don't really get why people bully others; what do they have to gain? Making others feel miserable maybe nice for a couple minutes, but since your likely to get some sort of punishment, is it really worth it? Will bullying make your parents get remarried? Will it cause you to get better grades? Will it make you any less jealous of the I, Otaking Mikohani? Will it get me a refill on rumsha-wait a minute, I'm out of rumshake! Now how will go on a psycho-political rant?!

How is anyone 'bullying' a cartoon horse? Seriously? It's just a drawing.
